A day at San Rossore Park
The San Rossore Estate, https://www.parcosanrossore.org/, it is open every day with free access, from 7.30am to 7.30pm in spring and summer, from 7.30am to 5.30pm in autumn and winter. For public access it is divided into three areas. The area closest to the city (zone C), around the avenue that connects Cascine Nuove to Sterpaia, is free to access in its entire extension. The intermediate area (Zone B) going towards the coast is accessible on foot and by bike on the marked paths. The coastal area (zone A), with the highest naturalistic value and most delicate, is accessible in limited numbers and only with an environmental guide. In addition to the free activities in the Park, other special paid activities can be organized through the San Rossore visitor center (telephone 050 530101 from Tuesday to Friday 9-13 and 14-16, Saturday and Sunday 10-13 and 14-17, email centrovisite@top5viaggi.com) which organizes many initiatives: guided and educational tours on foot, by bicycle, by coach and with an ecological train, has bicycle rental (from the end of March to October), wheelchair cycle, electric cars and 8-seater minibus for the disabled, promotes excursions on horseback and pony school (organised by Equitiamo, tel. 3383662431, 3494277315) and carriage visits (tel. 330206235), days on the San Rossore beach at 'La Buca del Mare'.
